Nothing Escapes...

A few weeks back, we received a mail attention to us back at Kiat's house.

To our surprise, it was a congratulatory card send to us from our MP.

We were like, gosh!!! How did they know?? But of course, nothing escapes our government huh??!!?

So I took the opportunity to send an email to thank her as well as feedback to her about the Vietnamese gals (pros) at the pubs and coffee shop outside AM :P

To my surprise again, she really got do her job, she forwarded the email to the SPF and one of the officers actually replied my email the next day. (I did not expect a reply seriously)

"2 Police have noted your feedback. As part of our enforcement efforts, police conduct regular operations and checks on the pubs and KTVs, including those located along Geylang Road between Lor 40 & 44 Geylang.........................................

3 We thank you for providing us an opportunity to update you the efforts taken by Police and the community to address the social concerns of the community residing in the vicinity. We would like to assure you that Police will continue with its enforcement actions and checks, as well as work with the community to address the concerns of the residents."

At least I know my income tax did not go to waste......

6th Oct 08-Meet up with HKG Friends

Woke up around 8plus am,so tired!!!!! But there are loads to do still. It took me around 2 days to recover from the fatigue,no kidding.

Went down to CC for breakfast, the spread was not a lot but the food was good.

The peaceful recept area..vast difference from yesterday evening.

Packed up and check out. We forgot to bring back our unopened wine and a bottle of hard liquor, luckily, the hotel kept them for us.

Went to the bridal studio to return the gowns and then back to our house to drop all other stuff. Around 2pm, we went to meet Flora and her friend Kimi, who accompanied her on this trip to SIN. It was so good to see Flora again. She is like a 大家姐 to Kiat while he was working in HKG office. We are so happy that Wells and her made this trip to SIN to attend our wedding. Too bad Janet could not make it last min.

We brought them to our house to chit chat first before going to 五星鸡饭 at Katong. It was off to the airport to send them off for their flight back to HKG.


Later on in the evening, we were off to meet Thomas and Pauline :) We brought them to eat the AMK crabs. They really loved our crabs. They went to 无招牌 on their 2nd day here and still do not haev enough of the crabs.

After dinner, we went back to their hotel for drinks as well as see the pictures which they took for us!

5th Oct 08, Sunday-Our Wedding Day Part 2

Went to the hotel to check in at 2pm.

Only had a very short rest, in fact it was no rest coz I was online,chatting to TCO and Mon, the minute we were connected :P

The hotel gave us a pretty big suite :)


K's mum and sis came to have their make up done by Vivian around 340pm. Mine was after them, Vivian thought my solemnisation was at 630pm instead of 6pm so she was slowly fiddling with my hair until at around 520pm, I told her it was to be at 6pm, a little panic there.


EL,RX and YF came to help deco the area for the solemnisation-thanks a bunch for that!

Went down to the cocktail recept at 640pm as I got nothing to do upstairs.

Thanks to all my cousins and friends for decorating the recept area! I love it!!!!


The reception was like a mad rush to say hi to all our friends and relatives, not forgetting to take more photos. (opps, sha is cut off in the below pic)

Thanks to Daniel L for doing the ang bao box for me and also thanks to Daniel C for giving us the red guest signature cloth-really very traditional,only found in HKG weddings I believe.


Our dinner commenced at 815pm,according to my stipulated time. Our emcees were JY and YT (A lot of people did not know that YT is Kiat's sister hehe)


The first march in was supposed to be this 张学友's song but at the door, Kiat was singing on his own and I was like %$#@$#...what are you doing man,at this moment you still want to sing,真的很爱唱! Only when the door open and I still did not hear the CD and he was continuing to sing did I know that he meant to sing the whole song on his own lol.



Did not manage to eat anything the whole night, was so hungryyyy but the staff said they will tp the food up to the room which was a huge relief to me :P.

Time to say goodbyeee...those are Kiat's hkg basketball friends, thanks for coming guys!


Thanks to Sha and YF for arranging to come back from the States, I want to see Skylar again soon!!!


And not forgetting Mon and Chris from UK, thank god your audit does not clash and you can arrange to visit your parents at this time as well as attend the wedding too :P


Our banquet ended around 1030pm and the guys went back to the suite to drink more (what else). To add icing to the cake, we watched the 2nd half of Man City vs Liverpool in the room and they came back to win 3 goals to 2!


PS: It was a very smooth operation the whole day and we had a whole bunch of people to thank!
