Koen's surgery part 2

4th Dec 15-Koen went for his surgery at Glen again to fix his ear pit problem. This time round, the doctor will open up his ear to close the tract so there will no longer be a hole for infection to set in.

We left the house around 615am as his surgery was at 7am. The registration took ages. Super puffy eyes at 640am.

After we were done, we proceeded to the ward to get ready. He found the present I got for him although it was meant after he wakes up.

He went in around 8am and we went for breakfast.

We went back to the waiting lounge around 830am. The surgery was supposed to last for an hour but he did not come out till 10am as the doctor said there was a slight complication halfway and they had to stop for a while :-(

They brought him back to the ward and he woke up around 12pm. 

He was super hungry by then and ate up all the food in front of him. He showed no signs of the complication and did not mention about pain at all.

We left the hospital at 1pm and back home, he was still feeling the effects of the anesthesia.

By evening, he was better.

We went back to the doctor's clinic the next day as the dressing was bit loose and they cleaned up the wound for him too.

Bandage was off few days later.

16th Dec-Koen went back to remove the stitches.

As of today, we are still monitoring the wound and waiting for next follow up visit to the doctor.

Bff trip to JB

30th Nov 15-We arranged to go to JB for shopping and makan so I took leave and met up with the gals at 10am at Kranji Mrt. We were in JB in less than 45mins. 

First stop-Mar brought us to this famous curry fish head shop near City Square.

We shared table with 3 Singaporean aunties.

Next was shopping time! We went to City square (H&M) followed by Komtar (Padini, Vincci and Metrojaya) . Took a short break for Gong cha before chionging for mani/pedi.

For dinner, we had Korean fried chicken :-)

We made our way back to Singapore. Happy to spend the day trip with my bffs! 

Barney show

The malls always have children's show in Dec and at One KM, there was the Barney show (again) so we brought the boys there to see.

D&D

Our company held our annual D&D on the 28th Nov at the Ritz Carlton.

Our theme was Super Heroes, cartoon characters and Villians. My svp was the Panda lol.

We were all hoping to get the 1st lucky draw prize of $4000. No luck and every year our president will throw in some bonus prizes. This year it was 3 iPad pro. I have never been lucky in any lucky draw but guess what, I won the last bonus prize of the night- iPad pro! 

My luck seems to turn for the better as during the company Christmas lunch on 14th Dec, I also won a bottle of red wine.

While I was at D&D, K brought the village for 鱼头炉 at Tiong Bahru.

The boys had their year end performance on 1st Dec. Before that, the full dress rehearsal on 24th Nov and Xm send me these photos:

The actual day: dropped the boys in school and went for breakfast.

After the preformance, we went for lunch at One KM. While the boys took their afternoon nap, the hub and I went to visit my mum as her leg was acting up again. While going into the car, our friend sprained his shoulder area ......he was supposed to fly off to Manila that evening but due to this sprain, he had to cancel his trip. If I remembered correctly, this is the 2nd time he missed a trip due to a sprain.... From my mum's place, we went to see his orthopedic at Mt E. It was raining cats and dogs that afternoon.

He did a MRI and a X Ray over there and went back with some medicine. The next day he went back to see the doctor again and luckily it was just a muscle sprain (from playing too much fallout 3 lol)
