Heartland Care and Share
Last Sat, my company organized our
annual charity event and it's food distribution to the needy at Bendemeer and Bukit Merah.
I took Kain with me and that's him checking out my workstation.
Briefing with the students, we went to Bendemeer.

Did they or did they not?
Seoul reflections
I wouldn't say I love Seoul. I do not dislike it either and I will definitely visit Korea again to see other parts of the country, especially Jeju Island.
I love the autumn leaves
A lot of people told me the people in Korea are very rough and pushy and they will treat us with discrimination coz they thought we are all prc. But I never encountered all these. In the subway, people always queue to get in. There was hardly any pushing except peak period which is normal. Sales girls we met were all nice and pretty friendly.
But ..given a choice, I would still prefer Japan over Korea. :-)
Day 5: Anyoung Seoul
2nd Nov 14, Sunday
The last itinerary of the trip is to Noryangjin Fish Market. We took a cab there to save time.
Oysters only 5000 won
Sashimi for 15000 won
I bet half the stall owners there are prc.
This Aunty approached us to buy her seafood and we bought some from her. One of the must eat is the live octopus.
The Korean style is to buy the seafood and they will bring to the restaurant upstairs to cook for a fee- not cheap.
The taste is average. Only the scallops are nice and fresh! If you have been to the fish market in Tokyo-Tsukiji fish market, that one win hands down! Every bite is heavenly unlike the one in Seoul. So this is a place you can skip, just go straight to the one in Tokyo.
Sidetrack: A kind of dried fish-corvina, we saw at the lotte mart
We wanted to take a cab back but duno where to hail one. At that moment, we saw a stall owner bring his customers to the road and told them can just flag a cab from there.
The gold building is 63 building
It was a beautiful day in Seoul.
Back in Jamsil, die die also need to go to a cafe.
Did some last minute shopping at Jamsil underground shopping mall and die die must try the Lotteria Burger.
We checked out at 1 and made our way to the airport.
It's a nice trip and I'm happy I got to see the autumn leaves!

Day 4: Itawon and Jamsil
The tour coach brought us back to Itawon, the drop off point for this tour.
We passed by many protestors. They were civil servants protesting against some new policy.
Sunset in Seoul
We reached Itawon and prior to that, Mr K googled on some nice pub here and we went in search of the four seasons
We went back to Jamsil and I die die want to eat at this supposedly famous Jajangmyeon shop there.
The restaurant had no English menu and we ordered the noodles and dumplings.
The dumplings were so much better than the ones I had at Ewha. Obviously we could not finish all 6. Actually we were waiting to see if the couple next to us managed to finish theirs.
This shop is also famous for their kimchi and I had the best kimchi of the trip here.
It's cold, crunchy and super delicious! Heard you can buy the kimchi home too.
We walked to Lotte Department Store/Duty Free and Mr K got to see the yellow Duckie too. Read that Lmh gave a concert there last week?!
Jamsil at night
To end off the day, we saw the Liverpool match live on tv with Korean commentary lol and Liverpool lost (again)
