Trip to River Safari
Mar gave us some complimentary tickets to the river safari and we made a trip there last Sun.
Time to see 凯凯 and 嘉嘉。
This is 振峰。
The place was pretty small and it reminded me a lot of the sea aquarium at Sentosa.

We did not take the boat ride to see more animals as Koen did not meet the height limit.
We left around 1030am. It was a good trip for the boys :)

Singapore World Water Day
15th Mar 14- To mark world water day at our area, there was a brisk walk cum carnival at geylang river. It also marks the opening of the new playground at Lor 40.
We went to join the walk at 8am and there were tonnes of people.
The boys shook hands with the minister lol.

Play date at far Far East
Recently I wrote about Kain's best friend from school who transferred to another school. His mum invited us to their house last Sunday.

They stay at Loyang this super ulu place in those colonial kind of house. They told us it's actually under HDB rental and they bid for it. I did not even know such accommodation existed.
The rental they pay is even lesser than what my mum charge for her hdb 3 room rental. The place is huge but of course transportation is an issue if you are looking for convenience.
The boys had lots of fun and they even prepared a very yummy home cooked chicken rice lunch for us.
Next gathering would be to the bird park!

Korean and Japanese
14th Mar 14- I was on half day leave to meet J in the afternoon and after we were done with our errands, I left to meet Mar and Y for dinner.
The foodie Y recommended us to this Korean BBQ place at United Square as we wanted to have Korean food!
Sekkei BBQ- I tried to make a reservation but they were booked so we walked in and we were so lucky, no queue and we got a table immediately. The place is huge and the food is good and best of all , it only costs $24 for the buffet.
Learnt a new trick from Y who by the way is only a 20 year old gal, on how to cook the enoki mushroom (Jin Zhen gu) Put the meat on top of the mushrooms and the flavours will be absorbed by them.
I was so full and after that we still went over to udders for ice cream
15th Mar 14- Xh was back in Sin and we met up for dinner together with mar and pz. Before that she came over to my place to see the boys.
We had dinner at Abe diners - a Japanese restaurant partly run by her cousin in law.
It was omakase set style and I had the wagyu beef set.
The food was ok, not fantastic but the fish which the rest ordered was good! The beef paled in comparison to that.
We went to Drips for coffee after that and it was good to see JJ who came to join us.
See you both again soon (hopefully)
Trip to Katong 112
Mr K was on course the 1st week of March including the Sat so I brought the boys and helper out to Katong 112 for lunch.

Cheesecake made by my boss for this morning's breakfast.
It's damn good! I am going to get the receipe from her.
Peek a boo!
Few Sun back we went to Kallang Leisure for lunch and we bumped into L and her family at the food court, so qiao!
And of cause the boys had a good nap after that lol
After lunch we made a last min decision to put the boys at peek a boo while I went to buy my running shoes (my asics pair can't be used anymore, so sad)
While the boys are at play, the parents can take a breather.
