Christmas 2013

On Christmas Eve, we had the usual BBQ with K's gang.

All the kiddos minus Gail who is down with hfmd, poor gal.

Everyone had a good time exchanging gifts, catching up and as usual there were too much food. 

Christmas morning: Kain was down with fever, Xians.

Merry Christmas once again and it's Happy Boxing Day for now。

冬至

昨天是冬至，你们有吃汤圆吗？

Ocl and me were at PP for lunch and the restaurant gave us complimentary 汤圆， nice!

Day 2 Lijiang-白沙古镇, 黑龙潭, 丽江古城.

After viewing the murals, we walk out to 白沙古镇.白沙古镇位于丽江县城以北约8公里，北临玉龙雪山，南至龙泉，西依芝山，是丽江最古老的集镇之一，是纳西族在丽江坝的最初聚居地，也是丽江木氏土司的重要发祥地。

Nothing much here except my mum bought more pomegranates and a local snack here.

After this, the driver took us to 黑龙潭. 黑龙潭坐落在密云县石城乡鹿皮关北面的一条全长4公里，水位落差220米的峡谷里，距北京100公里。春花、秋月、平沙、落雁、曲、叠、沉、悬潭等十八个名潭撒落在幽深振奋峡谷里，千姿百态，各领风骚

十二月的巴淡岛

Day 2 Lijiang :Horseriding and Baisha Murals

At the market area, there were horse rides available to bring you round 束河 old town, so we got on one horse each. (minus Kain, he sat with Mr K).

After the morning horse riding, we went back to the inn to rest for a while before we set off for our day tour to Baisha Ancient town as well as to Lijiang Old town.

On the way to Baisha town...beautiful countryside scenery.

Baisha Murals were kept and displayed in some ancient buildings around Baisha village that is located about 10 kilometers to the north of Lijiang Ancient Town adjoining Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to its north. The village was the birthplace of the Tusi (the word means clan chief in Chinese) of Mu (a clan), and was the earliest political and spiritual center of Naxi ethnic minority.
