Kain goes to school

Kain started his school on 8th Nov. I was there with him for the 1st 3 days and I think the experience is more traumatic for me than for him, lol.

All is calm at first

I left the room and let him be with the class and our friend cried his lungs out. He asked the teacher to carry him, point at the door and ask her to open the door.

Day 2

More crying when I left him alone-the teacher said he was fine after some crying but once he saw me enter the room, he started to cry as if to tell me he is so damn poor thing gana left there alone.

IMG_1356

Day 3-I left him after we signed him in and went for breakfast (of coz, there were lots of tears)

When I returned, I saw him from the CCTV and he was fine.

On the 4th day, Mr K and me dropped him off and (as usual) he cried his lungs out and thereafter, I was banned from sending him to school lol. (Guys are hard hearted coz they can just dump the kid and leave immediately)

After a week or so, he got used to the new routine and the new environment and when Mr K dropped him off, he will say byee as if to say please go soon, don’t disturb me Smile with tongue out

Now, when I dropped him off (ban lifted), he also says byee mama..no more tears, I am so proud of him!

The basement of the palace is just like a scene out of those war movies. It reminded me of the movie-Inglorious Bastards

We skipped walking around Chinatown and went to the Wars Remnants Museum. Very sad to see the photos of the war and the suffering the people had to go through.

That was the last stop of our city tour. We went for Part 2 of our makan again at this shopping mall (Can’t rem the name) and had MK steamboat for tea, followed by ice cream Smile with tongue out

After which, we went back to the hotel for a quick rest before meeting up again for dinner.

Dinner was at a French Restaurant-needless to say, the food was yummy.

It was a very good trip to HCM as we were very lucky to have such a good host in Fiona who helped us arrange for sightsee as well as bring us to eat all the good food, plus the fact the Sam and Gene were around made this trip extra more fun!

Thanks to Mr K again for making this happen Smile

Sam and Gene landed at 6plus pm and we went to Fiona’s place to meet them for dinner. Fiona’s apartment is just 5 mins away from our hotel!

She brought us to this really nice Vietnamese restaurant for dinner. That place serves North and South Vietnamese cuisine.
