Goodbye 2010

In less than 3 hours time, 2011 will be here.

This year has been so busy, full of ups and downs. Our family has been blessed with a new addition, who else but our little Kain who has brought so much joy to us all.

It is true when they say your life will not be the same again with the arrival of a baby. Parenthood is so tiring, frustrating at times but on top of it, is so rewarding!

Thanks a million to Mr K the settler for being such a wonderful dad to junior (but please do not teach him to play game so soon) and for all the good things he have done for us all!

Hope the new year will bring good tidings to each and everyone of you.

Christmas dinner

On Christmas Day, Mar and PZ came over and Mar prepared dinner for us!

First of all, her home made Christmas cookies.

I chipped in with Caesar salad.

She prepared roast potatoes and chicken thigh for us, it was very delicious!

Kain protesting because he does not have any share of it.

To top it off, she even prepared dessert-apple crisps with vanilla ice cream, yumss!

Kain is a happy boy again because his Aunty Mar got a present for him

It was a great dinner-thanks Mar and PZ for the food and company!

For a good cause

This year for our Christmas party, instead of buying gifts for the gift exchange, Mr K suggested donating the money to Apex for their food distribution. So, for the 1st time, we brought little K along with us to Redhill for the food distribution. We have not been going down for the past few months due to my dad being in and out of hospital and all, so it was a good chance for us to catch up with the group and also, bring little K to 见识见识 and meet new friends.

On Christmas Eve, we had bbq as usual with K’s friends.

We had super yummy sashimi and canapés contributed by YH/DN and RX/EL!

Our little friend is celebrating his 1st Christmas with us, but, being a super 早睡早起 baby, he fell asleep before the fire was set up. (He zz at around 730pm everyday)

Mummy and Daddy and I have just received your Christmas Card! Thank you for your wishes from cold cold Wales  Singapore is not exactly hot, its been raining almost everyday.Mummy says she is so busy ever since she started work and hardly have time to msn with you now

Standard Chartered Marathon-5th Dec 2010

Last Sunday was the marathon and this is Mr K’s 6th (and last ?) full marathon. This year, there were different routes for the various categories and for his full marathon, they will be starting at Orchard in front of ION instead of the usual Esplanade. Hence, they have to wake up earlier..RY came to pick him up at around 4am. The race started at 5am.

Him at 345am..yawns….I also woke up to lock the door after him..yawns..

I took the little boy to meet them at the Padang after his morning nap and meal. Below photos taken with the Iphone 4, am pleased with the quality!

It was a very sunny Sunday, pity the runners. I already told him that it is going to be hot because the day before, it was drizzling and I foresee the next day will be Hot!

No joke carrying a 9kg baby walking from City Hall to the Padang in the hot weather amidst the throngs of people. We waited outside the finisher’s T-shirt collection point and was very luckily to see them there. I just park myself at the most convenient place available and even managed to take these photos while carrying him.

Mr K was saying this year’s new route is tougher than previous years. It was shadeless from Marina Barrage all the way and the last few km or so, they had to go upslope at the Benjamin Sheares bridge and he said no one ran, everyone was too shack and everyone walked for that part.

Ry left to meet up with FN and we hanged around abit more before going home. I saw a mummy next to us read his tag and thereafter she volunteered to take some pictures for us haha.
