Went for Byron’s 1st birthday party this afternoon with Mar.

How fast children grow, seems like we just went to his 1st mth celebration not long ago and now he is 1 year old already.

PS: The birthday cake was so delicious-heard it was Lychee martini flavor from Pine Garden.

Countdown to Bali!!

In around 2 weeks’ time, we will be off to Bali-16th Apr to be exact. Can’t wait to step foot on this island again. I remembered the last time I went there was in 2002 -with Sam,Gene and ZY. It was after the Bali bombing and tour packages were slashed. However, I think I got a really good deal this time round too. I have been bugging Mr Shao to travel again and have been looking out for any promo airfares. I happened to see the promo fares from Air Asia and managed to book 2 for ourselves. It was only $112 for both way for 2 pax, including tax and all. Can’t believe our luck!!!

uluwatu

The other time when we were there, I did not do any research at all. I realized I missed out on quite a number of things which I am bent on doing on this trip. On top of my list is trying out the local food like babi guling, nasi campus etc.

parigatav

Our accommodation will be at Parigata Villas located in Sanur. (Located in the village of Semawang, at the heart of Sanur, consisting of 18 villas, each suite is completed with swimming pool and jacuzzi, bath & shower, king size bed as well as twin bed, veranda, and individual entrance gate.)

Countdown starts now!!!

Somewhere over the rainbow...

Few weeks back, there was a beautiful rainbow across our sky. I bet everyone saw it except me!!Almost all the blogs I visited has a picture of the rainbow. Boo Hoo, I have not seen a rainbow for ages. It is said that at the end of the rainbow lies a pot of gold?? Hopefully, it signifies something good at the end of the day too. I seriously need a miracle to happen to me. I have so much thoughts at the back of my head now. I wish I can have the answers to all of them but all of them seems to be heading nowhere.

At least, I have received some good news from my friends-babies news galore again. A Big Congrats to Mel,XM and SW!!!So happy and excited for all of you. Esp to SW, baby No 3. Really take my hats off to you and JX :)

Chinese Pork Knuckle

Last Sunday, we went for zicha dinner with Kiat's family at Tanjong Katong here. It's called June Restaurant, recommended by XM.

It was my first time there, the food is good and the price very reasonable. Among the dishes we ordered, we had the signature assam fish head-good! as well as the pork knuckle.

It was damn good and sinful :-)

A trip to JB

On the 1st of March, our dept went to JB for 'teambuilding'. It was a trip full of activities, makan and shopping.

We met at City Hall where a van would ferry us for the whole day's activities. Went to the new customs at JB, the new building is really huge and spacious, so different from the old one.

First stop was to go for breakfast. We thought we would have prata and such but ended up at a Yong Tau Foo stall. After breakfast, we were off for our first activity-horseback riding.

My horse's name is Doris!

Quite intimidating at first as it was my first time on horseback riding! After a while, you get use to it and can even get the horse to gallop. I only made it 'gallop' a few steps as I am afraid of falling over.

The sun was scorching hot!I heard that Singapore was raining non stop the whole day. I think all of us got burnt that day.

After the horse riding, it was off to lunch. We had a 7 course seafood lunch, not bad. After lunch, we went to Plentong Go Kart Circuit.

The sun was so hot!!!!!

I only tried one round of go kart. Fun!!!! Better than the horse-riding I feel.
After that, we went to City Square for shopping before proceeding to Taman Sentosa for dinner.

The dinner was great! We ordered loads of food (as usual) and it only cost us less than $15 per pax.

It was a fun trip-first time at horse riding and go-kart. Bad point was I did not manage to buy any shoes at Vincci!!!!

Updates

Seems like I have been MIA for a while.

Well, the plain fact is that there is nothing interesting going on at this moment. Caught some Oscar nominated movies during the past few weeks as well as saw the Oscar ceremony.

Saw the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Brad Pitt is so good looking~

Followed by Slumdog Millionaire one week later.

I do not think Slumdog should win for Best Picture, oh well, that's just my 2 cents worth.

Also read the Palace Diaries.

Enjoyable! Seems so interesting to be working at the palace. Imagine your bosses to be Princess Diana and Prince Charles! Talking about the topic of work is so depressing, just came back from Career Fair over the past weekend, urghhhh. It's pretty quiet with the recession and I wonder how long we(I) can hold on.....
