Stars spotting

Yesterday we went out for dinner at Min Xiang @ Telok Ayer street to celebrate my MIL's belated birthday as she was out to China for a good one month.

Halfway through the dinner, Kiat say he saw 周华健 walk pass our table to the toilet. Other customers also saw him. So we were like ok, when he come out of the toilet later (with a body guard in tow), we must catch a glimpse of him too. Kiat gave us the signal when he saw him come out-just as he was nearing our table, my dear FIL aka Kiat's father suddenly stood up and told Mr Chou:华健哥,你好,你好. We were stunned, I think Mr Chou was stunned too. He was so nice and quickly wiped his hands dry before shaking hands with FIL and said all the niceties-thank you etc. It happened too quickly for me to snap any pictures. After the drama, I told them luckily the body guard did not pin FIL to the ground :P

周华健 is pretty big size in person, I always thought he is smaller though. Anyway, he is in Singapore with some other Taiwanese singers for the guitar concert.

After dinner, I went to cheesecake cafe to meet YF and met Chen Hanwei (higher chance of meeting him at Taboo I guess) there. I think a lot of stars stay in the Siglap area?

I have Friday off today so happy lalalalala.....

Sitex 2008

Sitex 2008 is starting tomorrow till Sunday and we will be going there on Sun to see if I can get my DSLR. I have decided to get a DSLR finally! And the model is the Canon EOS D450D.I nearly bought the 1000D in Japan but luckily I did not as after checking with HKG Thomas, the 450D is a better choice. The digi cam I am having now is a Olympus and we felt that the colour and resolution is not very 理想. While back in Takayama, there is this uncle who asked me to help him take a shot using his DSLR and was hooked there and then.

So I dragged Kiat to Funan last Sat to check out the prices and do some research before going down this Sun :P There was one shop who kept on recommending Olympus DSLR because she says the colour is more natural compared to Canon and Nikon and even let us try all 3. In the end, I still prefer Canon as the colours are more vibrant. (GL and Thomas also use Canon to take our wedding shots and we loved the effects and colous of the photos. But of coz, ultimately it is the skill that matters, so I really need to go practice! Good thing is I have a kaki in Mar as she also got a DSLR recently and she has already jioed me to Ubin for phototaking.)

Hope the Sitex will have some good deals if not I will pop back to Funan or AH.

Photos from Thomas and Pauline

I have previously mentioned that our HKG couple Thomas and Pauline had helped us to take many nice shots on our wedding, many of them are portraits and candid moments of the guests.

Here are some of my favourites to share with you all!

This picture seems to depict so many activities happening at the same time

Thanks to T&P once again!
