Project Runway Season 4

Thanks to Youtube and Tudou, I have watched the entire Season 4 over the weekend!

I was so sad that Chris got to go, he is so funny and he really reminded me of Jay from Season 1. But Rami was really good. I love his collection best at the finale. See pictures below.

I was kinda surprised that Christian won-his designs were more haute couture/avant garde but I must admit he is a real talent at such a young age-21. He is pretty bitchy but very interesting. (and 'fierce', his petphrase..)

I think I shall watch Hell's Kitchen now......

Gatherings gatherings

This week has been a pretty busy week. Met up with many of my friends :)

Firstly, it was to meet Ivy and Sandy on Wed for Ivy's farewell dinner. She is going back to Malaysia for good next Monday to join her husband and she is also 4 months pregnant. Congrats! She has promised to come back for my wedding later part of this year..how sweet! We went to New York New York at Citylink Mall. It was my first time there and it was quite a nice place. The service was not as bad as what OCL told me (:

***********************************************
Friday was meet up with sw and gang at Vivo-Marche. Didn't know there was a Marche there.

The attendance was good, almost everyone turned up-sw and family, mel and baby,kr and mike,ry and me. It was great catching up time. Sw is going to give birth to no 2 in Jun, really admire her. Hy as usual is so adorable, baby edwyn is 1 year old already, he's quite a little feisty baby hehe. Ry is still looking for a flat and can see he is eagerly waiting to be a dad in May. Kr has cut her hair short!!

Our yummy desserts
My fav boy...

I think the next time we meet up will be either at Ry's or Sw's baby's arrival.

**********************************************
Today, it was off to Cityhall to meet Rena, Sonny and Marcel. Marcel is so suay, he got mobilised and can't meet us at the very last minute. We joked that he was off to find Mas Selamat.

We went to Shokudo at the basement. It was all our first time there and ironically, this place was suggested by Marcel. It was the Japanese version of marche.

The food was good, I will definitely go back again. We adjourned for dessert and more chit chat before calling it a day.

It's been a very fulfilling week!

ID Finalise

We met up with M the ID/contractor last Sat to go through the 2nd quote which he gave us after going though the house with us the previous Tuesday.

There were some admendments here and there and he gave us a 3rd quote with a very good figure in the end coz we decided to take his(and our parents') advice and take out some items and use the owner's original ones. It really helped to scale down the budget.

We have decided to use him and will be signing the contract with him tomorrow once Kiat comes back from HKG in the evening. So, we have finally confirmed our ID/contractor. Hope he lives up to our expectations. (if not I will kill him!)

Poor AM, I still wish we could use him, haizsss....(We actually bumped into him at one of the Balestier tiles shop, but our fate was not meant to be hahahaha)

Our House

10th Mar 08 was the day we got the keys from the lawyer. Mr Kiat went to collect it from the lawyer's office while I was at NLI's wedding. He came back with a whole bunch of keys, access cards, documents etc. The previous owner was really meticulous, everything was in place nicely.

We took leave the next day to go settle some stuff at the new place.

AM from the outside

The pool area

Waterina is opposite.

Our mums said we needed to 'perform some rituals' as it was the first time we are stepping into the house as the new owners. So we 意思意思 do accordingly to their instructions. Each mum has her own ways lol. (The contractor came later on and he has his own too, can die)

Must Huat so must put pineapple-so Singaporean yah. (My mum is pretty lucky, she has striked 4d,ibet whatever on our unit number a few times (: since we got this place)

We explored the house before the PUB guy came to on the water and electricity. When we went to see previously, the house was filled with so much stuff and we did not get to see one of the room as both times, the baby was sleeping. Now, the whole house is empty.

The previous owner painted the living room green! The first time we saw it, we were like my gosh, must be feng shui.

We managed to get M aka ASB to come up to the new place to take a look so that he can give us a more accurate quote. I know that no ID/contractor would do that before you confirm them but as mentioned before, his cafe was just 5 mins walk from AM, he agreed to our request which we are very grateful for.

ASB is at the corner left side :P

We went through the whole house with him for close to 2 hours-what are the things that we want to install, things to be repaired etc. So tiring.

More pictures at a later post....

Wedding at the Zoo

Not mine. I am not so adventurous :(

It was Mel's wedding at the zoo last Sat! When she told me, I was like how cool is that!!!!! I have not been to the zoo for ages and definitely a first for attending a wedding over there. I guess it was only once in a lifetime and this was one wedding which I will not miss for sure.

Mel was my batch gal back at SQ. In fact, we first knew each other during the final day interview round. As both our surname start with "C", we were lined up one after another and stuck to each other for the whole day for support. We both got in and were put in the same batch for training as well :) We would meet up quite often during our off days for swimming, shopping and of coz, mj sessions.

That was 8 years ago when we first met. Now she is getting married.

15th Mar 08, Sat

Mr Kiat and me made our way to the zoo. The weather was so good that day. It was raining non stop for the past few days and we were wondering what will happen if it rain, going to be so messy.

Met Jinny and family at the entrance.

We took the chartered tram into the venue for the solemnisation.

Before the tram was full of her guests. Baby Caden is so cute and 乖.

Passed by many animals on the way

Reached the garden with a view for the ceremony.

Guess who was the ring bearer??

My little pony!!!!

The ceremony was simple and fitting to the occasion. Because Mel's hubby's surname is Kiat (so unique hor), everytime the JP mention his name, mr kiat say machiam like calling him and he wants to go up or raise his hand to acknowledge lol.

Cam whoring time

After the ceremony, we were ferried to the Forest Lodge to mingle while waiting for dinner to start. I met LK and couple of our batch mates. Have not seen some of them for ages, it was good catching up time.

My little pony came back for photo session with the kids. That's Dylan,lk's son, the last I saw him, he was still a toddler and now, he is coming to 5 yrs old. He is so cute and articulate.

Around 630plus, the couple came in on a horse carriage.

So fairy tale.....

She tossed the bouquet and it was caught by a small boy-he was so embarrassed!

Inside the lodge, we were seated at table Zurich with our batch gals, some were at table Chengdu :P Dinner started at 7pm sharp.

We each went home with a soft toy-everyone was hovering for the rhino duno why. Jinny got the rhino.

My batch gals.......(good thing some pictures were blurred so that I can post up here :P)

It was buffet style and the food was good! Better than those hotel ones which I have been so often. We were busy chatting and taking photos (almost everyone brought their cam along) as how often do you get most batch people gathered in one event. Most of them managed to change flights.

As it was buffet style, people started to leave at 830pm, it was the earliest dinner that I have been to. We hanged around till 930pm so that we can make the couple drink as well as take photos. Mel was a really good sport and finish up the whole glass of red wine. (it's not the normal wine glass size)

It was a very MEMORABLE wedding filled with good fun and laughter.

Noelle's wedding-10th Mar 08

A bunch of us colleagues attended NLI's wedding at Fours Season on Monday. Come to think of it, that was my first time stepping into the 4 seasons.

It was a nice affair, not too huge,I guess 20 tables?

She put up this collage instead of the usual photo album, interesting.

The ballroom

The ballroom was nicely decorated, the emcees comical, the food was ok. Ooo gal, my bf wanted to use the same song that you chose for the march in too, when I heard it, I was telling OCL, so qiao, my bf told me he thought of using that song too.

Glad you had a great time, we did too. Wishing you a blessed marriage!
