........

Work sucks.
The phone keeps ringing.
The 小人 keeps looming.
Fools are around.
********************************************
So I took Friday off and met up with the babes.
Met PZ on Friday afternoon to go recki the bkk tour package which I am planning to go in Mar with my dad. Book online more worth it, so I need to book it later, today is the last day of the Jetstar promo!!! We went to Vivo City to shop while waiting for Mar and Marj to come.
Marj came at 6plus and we had dinner at a Penarakan place. Mar was still stuck at work so we ate first.
Got cheated, thought this restaurant has the 'sentosa view' but when we walked in,do not have, sians.

After dinner, we walked around and went to Corduory Cafe to wait for Mar who came around 8pm.

Love that place.

Opps,blur

Pz's handsome strawberries.
Too bad Kat could not make it, we will ararnge another session with her.

Sat was a packed day.
Went swimming, followed by lunch and then it was off to meet RX and EL for car shopping. RX has decided to buy the MZ3 SP in black. (Kiat has a companion now :P)
He introduced his sales consultant to RX and he was there to sign the paper yesterday at the Mazda showroom.
Car prices have dropped,it was pretty packed inside the showroom.

After getting the deal,we walked across to Stamford Tyres to check out the rims. I did not even know people also zhng the tyres. To me, they all look the same. The next stop was off to see some car accessories at Ubi area. Now I can understand how guys feel when they go shopping with us and vv.

The last stop was JDM-where a lot of Mazda people go to zhng the car-its my 2nd time there and was quite tired already, just hanged around the shopfront instead of going in. Saw Jinny's friend whose car was there for modification (the black one in the pic) but I was too lazy to say hi to him haha...

After going through the day's car events, we went to Pasir Ris park for prawning but it was drizzling, so we decided to skip that. Just had a drink and we went for dinner. We wanted to go to Aston S but changed our mind as we will be late for the KTV as we expect a long queue at Aston. (Fay, maybe we will go this sat instead). We got stuck at Kallang also as we went to fetch YH to KTV due to the Singapore vs Malaysia match which was sold out, thank god we won :).

After dinner, we met the usual gang for KTV till 12plus am...tired day!!!

The end.
PS: Time is passing by so rapidly,Jan is going to be over in a 3 days. Then very shortly, CNY will be here and Feb will be over...gosh....

Another food entry

It's another food entry.
17th Jan 07,Wed
We went to Spizza at Club Street for dinner. I have never really explored Club Street, (except for Indochine) even though it's so near my house. I should seriously start doing that coz there are so many nice places to check out there!

We had the fried calamari and caesar salad for starters. For the pizza,we had the Katerina. One word about the food-YUMS!

We will definitely be back and have aimed the cozy Japanese restaurant tucked at the corner for our next visit!

19th Jan 07, Friday
Met PZ at GWC and settled at Kenny Rogers for dinner. Mar can't make it as she had another appointment.
It was my first time at KR after they renovated the place. Too bright for our liking.

My 2 side dishes at KR never change-potato salad and macaroni and cheese

Went to PZ's place after dinner as she forgot to bring the storybooks that she was suppose to lend me :P Got the 4 books :) and since I was at PZ's place, how could I miss the opp to take more pictures of Rabito.
Bit bit is so cute :P
20th Jan 07, Sat
We were at Katong Stonegrill for dinner.

We had the wild stuffed mushrooms for starters-not bad, the prime of the land for the main course and a pasta-pasta sucks!
Prob won't be going back again :P There are many other makan places at Katong to check out too!

Ivy and Eddie's wedding

13th Jan 06, Kluang, 局晃
I was over at Johore, Kluang over the weekend for Ivy's wedding.
This was to be my first overseas wedding trip :P
On Sat morning 9am, we(me, fay,jy,sandy, ivy 2 other colleagues plus her bro n his gf) all met at Kranji MRT to make our way to Kluang.Luckily her brother was there to bring us over, save us the trouble of finding our own way. :P
After passing through immigration, we went to Larkin to take the bus to Kluang. It was a 1.5 hours drive from Larkin. We had to split into 2 groups as the bus for the 11am only had 4 seats left,so the other 4 took the 1130am bus. It has been raining non stop for the past few days and it was on the news that Kluang was flooded, luckily when we reached there, things were much better, but we saw in some areas the water reached waist length.

At Kluang bus terminal

If you see closely,in front of the cars is a canal and the water level is already close to the road level! There is another better view but I did not take picture there. :( Her dad says if the water level rises another 2 inch, the place will be flooded again.
Ivy's dad came to pick us up from the bus terminal and brought us to their house where we rested for a while before we head off to lunch.

Her place-located at the "新区“ of Kluang, its so affordable to buy property in Malaysia.....

Me, Sandy and fay in the car on our way to the hotel.

We had lunch at a coffee shop before going to the hotel. The hotel which she has booked us for the night was just next to the restaurant, so convenient.

As it was raining non-stop,we did not go out to look see, just stayed in the room to chit chat.

Me and sandy's room. Fay and JY's were at the next next door.
Outside the hotel

Around 6plus,Sandy mentioned she forgot to bring her toothbrush and we went downstairs provision shop to buy. On the way,we saw quite a lot of people at the restaurant already and quickly went up to prepare. Took a second look at the invitation card and it says,630pm to 入席,7pm to start. Being Singaporeans, we though the dinner will start at 830pm. We were oh-so-wrong.

Left hotel at 7pm to go over and most of the people were already seated! We were kinda shocked haha.

There were aunties singing karaoke throughout the wedding, quite different from Singapore :P (Although at Mel's wedding, there was KTV towards to end of the dinner also)
We were seated at the front corner of the room
The dinner started at around 730pm.

Jy,fay and me.
Sandy and moi
The happy couple.

Yummy suckling pig
Dinner ended at about 930pm!! Earliest dinner I went! They mention is because in Malaysia, the relatives travel from different state hence they need to drive back and also maybe people sleep earlier here bah :P
It was a fun trip and thanks to Ivy and Eddie's kind hospitality, bringing us around,to makan and all and not forgetting the efforts of her family, esp her brother and his gf too.
Hope you guys have fun in Penang for your Round 2 :)
******************************************
Kluang is a small town in Johore, here, you would still see objects and sights that we will no longer see in Singapore. In a way, its pretty nostalgic.

For eg: The red post box

The old school bus
Back to work tomorrow,damn siansssssssssssssss

Potluck at Sw's.

We spent a very enjoyable Sat evening at Sw and Jx's place for our uni cum sha's homecoming/farewell gathering.

It was a potluck session and each of us brought some food. For me, I did the cheesecake and Kiat got a roast duck. Sha and Yf contributed drunken chicken,ry got drinks and satay,sw did soup, vege and chicken wings. Mel bought titbits as being 6 months into her pregnancy, she was spared from preparing anything tedious. Our dear Kr prepared coleslaw and garlic prawns with cheese (It was Michael who did the prawns :P) and she over estimated the time for preparation and only got to sw's place at 830!!!!

Our sumptuous spread.

The long awaited prawns

Kr helping to slice the cheesecake

My cheesecake-this time, it looked kinda gross but I'm glad the taste is not bad :p

The star of the night was Baby Hy :P He is so cute!!!! At 13 months now, he is one baby that is not scare of people. We had loads of fun playing with him and was intrigued by his 'indian movements'.

It's always fun catching up with this group of friends during our almost 'yearly' reunion. We all lead so different lives but we still manage to keep in contact. Friendship is indeed a wonderful thing!! Come this year end, we will have Mel's baby to join us :)
Sha,have a good flight back to the states, see ya on msn.
