Of more food and little bali

Finally waited for Friday to come and now,in a flash,Sunday is here :(

Here's a rundown of my week so far ...

Tue-Went to Connie's wedding with my mum at Furama Riverfront (Old Apollo Hotel)
That was the 1st time I went there eversince the hotel was renovated and I must say it's not bad. The ballroom was nice (pic on left) and the food was quite delicious, except that the waiters were very fast in serving the dishes. By the time we had the desserts, the poor couple have not finish taking the photos and everyone was leaving as it was a weekday also.

Wed-Met Kiat for dinner at Maxwell

I had the hakka pork rib noodles-the store supp to be quite good as they have some magazines write ups and pictures with celebs etc,the dessert was egg milk bean curb and sea coconut.

Fri-Met Jinny for dinner in town. We had Jap food at Taka Basement.

That's my salmon don and a tofu dish we shared. Talking about Jap food, I just remembered I have not posted the pics we took during Kiat's birthday at Akira,I don't think the pics are with me..urgghhhh!!I must get a new rechargeable battery soon for my digi cam, can't always use his.....

Sat-Went shopping for PZ gift with mar before meeting her and Kiat for dinner at Villa Bali!
This time round, we got there around 7 , sky is still quite bright and managed to take pictures of the place.

I made the cheesecake as well, but this time, it was a choc cheesecake....

An advanced birthday celebration for pz and me,pity xh and jj could not make it.

(P_Ministry rules :P)

PS: Thanks Kiat for taking all the pictures :)

Just, this place is pretty near your place, we can drop by someday too.

Mon-you lucky gal, in Germany watching world cup now..so envious..

CK's wedding

Went for CK's wedding yesterday, being quite a religious guy, he had his wedding at his temple-a vegetarian dinner, at Sengkang there. Thank god I managed to find the place :P

It was my 1st vege dinner,1st temple wedding, and 1st guy friend to get married hehe,so many1sts. The hall was nicely decorated.

After the solemnization, dinner was served-quite an experience eating all vege food for a wedding dinner. :P

Met up with a lot of the SA people during the wedding, its been 10 years since I last saw them, funny how we think Singapore is so small but we have never bump into them on the streets whatsoever.

It is always very heartwarming to go to an old friend's wedding, knowing that this person will be happily settled down and starting a new phase of their lives together............

(Left:Lyn's Seafood fried set followed by the tempura set)

Yesterday, Kiat, YH and I went to geylang to eat frog porridge! That place-Sinma, is really good..think its my 5th time there so far..always leave me with good impression...The business there is so so good.....the boss must be laughing his way to the bank...

Another must eat dish is the specialty tou fu-super yummy :)

Weddings and more weddings

Melisa and Desmond's wedding-14th Jun 06

Attended Mel's wedding on Tuesday-took a day off from work as we were helping her out for the day as her JM.

There were 5 JMs in all,the other 2 were her colleagues, not in the pic. (Yt,me,mel and sw)

One of the usual task the guys have to go through-I kinda pity them...:P

A pity,Sha,rw and ea could not attend the wedding, otherwise it would be full attendance.

PS:After the tea ceremony,we went to sw place to see baby HY. How cute can a baby get...:P

Congrats to Mel and Desmond again..hope you guys are having loads of fun in Korea..

I am going for CK's wedding later and then to Connie's next Tue......my pocket is broke liaos.....

My 2nd cheesecake attempt

I made my 2nd cheesecake on Mon for Kiat's bdae which fell on Tue :) And with my mum's help, it turned out to be a success abit the cake which was a little too sweet.

I got the receipe from 'thebakerwhocooks' blog. It was intended to be a chocolate flavor cheescake.

Some of the main ingredients:

Mum helping to grind the digestive biscuits :P

The base (Digestive biscuits, butter and sugar)

Preparing the batter-cream cheese, condensed milk and eggs.

Was supposed to create concentric cirlces-1 layer plain batter, 1 layer with chocolate, but I just can't do it in a perfect circle, hence turned out to be like this-machiam more like marble cake.

Into the oven

The final product:

My intended recipient:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Sha, you should try it:P. If anyone of you want the receipe, can get it from the baker's blog or from me also can..it's really simple..

Mar's bdae celebration.. (Attack of the Camera whores)

Yesterday, we all gathered like a yearly routine to celebrate one of our good friend-Mar's birthday!

We went to Commonwealth for zi cha first and yes, harvey, sam and zy, we managed to find the place in the end :P

Had the San Lor Hor Fun plus other usual zi cha dishes...yums.....

After dinner, we proceeded to Rochester Park. Having heard so much about that place,we were finally on our way there. Thanks to Kiat's direction, we got there in no time. And we were very lucky, we found a parking lot once we were inside the car park.

When we reached 1 Rochester park, they only had the indoor seats, not outdoor ones..well..its ok...the place is similar to villa bali but much smaller.....we chose a cosy little corner so that we can nua and not be so open to the rest of the people there.

Mar got a cake-hehe bdae girl with her own cake coz citibank gave her a free cake from Bakerzin :P. She was so nice to put Kiat's name too as Kiat is celebrating his bdae next Tue :)

The mango mousse and strawberry cake.

The brithday gal and guy

Our drinks...Cheers! and after some drinks and games, dear ms goh started her own "game"-camera whoring..haha we had 3 digi cam yest and we took so many pics....

Pictures of 1 Rochester..It was quite dark outside, can't really capture the place..

We were supposed to be seated here but we opt for the corner space..:P

The outside

Ok, something wrong with my blogger, I can't seem to put the pictures in the centre..anyway,I have finally finish posting up some of the pics here. Nice place..we will def be back..plus point-the service is great!

PS: PZ, I wonder what you will do on your bdae lei..now a bit scare haha
