Fight Club

Today during lunch,I witness a fight between 2 uncles. We were having lunch at one of our usual coffee shop at TP.When we were about to leave, we saw 2 man in the middle of the road.1 of them was hitting the other one-an older uncle furiously on the face. The older man could only shield himself from the blows. I saw that his face was covered with blood and luckily there was a man who was calling the police..(I think) As usual,as Singaporeans,no one went forward to intervene.There were around 20 uncles standing at the side of the road watching the show but no one went to stop the fight. We,the people eating lunch at the opposite coffee shop were kinda shocked by the event-or rather, I was. It was the 1st time that I am seeing a fight take place before my eyes.

I heard from my colleague that it is very likely due to chess betting.Eveyday at the void deck, there are many uncles gathered there,playing chess and seeing people play chess. In the process, they also betted on it too. I heard some even placed heavy bets too. This could be due to chess betting,failure to pay etc etc..but still no need to resort to violence right?

I was quite traumatised by the incident...:( No matter what, still should not go and hit other people until face bloodied right....

It has been non stop action of work work work for the past few weeks.......

My cough has not been fully recovered,so is the blocked or running nose...I wonder when will I be fully cured?

Maybe what sha said is ture, I am indeed burnt out...really need a good rest but next week is 1 whole week of roadshow at TM...weekends gone as well...BUT..thank god I took half day leave this Friday...I really needed the break man....

Happy Birthday Guojian!

Recently,it seems to be a time for old friends reunion....

I have this sec 4 classmate who has set up this Yahoo Group thingy to connect our sec 4 classmates together and we chatted for sometime via msn recently.Another of my classmate also added me to her friendster and from friendster,my JC friend(GJ) added me to his list as well. It was a pleasant surprise as we kinda lost touch with each other after our last meet up which was back in 2002,could be late 2001 even.

We chatted via friendster-msn and realised he was in Penang now for training..so good one..anyway,he was back in town for 2 days last Thur/Fri before he goes back to Penang again and we managed to meet up for dinner on Thur -a very last min dinner arrangement as I initially thought I could not meet up.He is still the same old GJ from JC days-always the mr nice guy :P

It's his birthday today: Happy Birthday yah!!Hope you are having fun in Penang :)

It'd been a hectic week-duty,2 previews,1 visit to the doctor,K back and gone.......

HKG-9th Mar to 12th Mar 06

As usual, took the 650am flight out to HKG,this time round,Kiat arrived later than me as he needs to settle some stuff in SIN first..so I went back to Tsuen Wan (TW) on my own.

The airport bus terminal where I took the straight bus back to TW.(Very convenient :P)

Flora and Michelle treated me to lunch..so nice coz they know I am coming back first and jio me out for lunch with them soon after I arrived.

10th Mar 06 Friday

Went to the Hong Kong 2006 Flower Show as mentioned earlier.

Hong Kong has this flower show every year at Victoria Park around March,I did not go to the one last year but I reckon its similar....

Took a lot of pictures so here are some which I have posted up...

Macau's exhibition My favourite part-the Tulips! Everyone wants a shot of them..I had to wait and wait before I can find a space to take the pictures and then had to ask them to take for me as well :P

I must also mention that HKG has a lot of people who are very into photography-they really invest their $$ into cameras..Look at the hordes of pro in the following pic: We have a HKG friend-Wells,who is one of them too! A parting shot before I was out of the show after staying there for 2 hours plus..

Walked over to Sogo to do some shopping.....

And then it was a mad rush to KF for my fav shopping scene in HKG before I went back to TW to meet Kiat and gang for KTV at TST.

Met up with Janet at KTV-the people at CEO gave us a room fitted for 20 pax as the small rooms were all occupied...Look at the size of the room that we had...

Thanks Flora,Janet and Michelle for the KTV farewell treat!! You must come to SIN asap ok..we will bring you around to eat all our local goodies :P

Sat,Michelle treated us to Fat Angelo for lunch..Yums,after that,she went back to SZ and we went to Jordon/Mongkok. Later on,we had dinner at this Viet place in Jordon..the food was very good!

Had the best beef fondue ever!Together with the pho and Viet spring rolls,it's a great meal and I wish I can go back there again..That place is very popular and people kept streaming in for makan.(However, we encountered a very bad experience when we were there-behind us were this family,the father kept scolding his daughter(ard 5-6 years old) to finish up her food quickly and he was using the crudest canto vulgarities to lash out at her..gosh!And he kept on scolding her so loudly and harshly that everyone can hear..so bad!!I overheared the next family beside me telling her young son not to ever learn any of the language which the guy was using...The girl's mother was helpless and could not do anything about it..I really pity the little girl....)

After dinner,we went to MongKok.....女人街

The 'pink' building with the chinese words is where Kiat's office is located..all he have to do everyday is to cross the long bridge from his apartment at Discovery Park and he will reach his workplace-a mere 10 mins walk.

HKG people are a superstitious lot..see in their lift-you won't find the number '4' like 14,24 etc

Outside the apartment before going to the airport...I will never go back to Discovery Park apartment anymore..so sad..:( I sure am going to miss this place!

On a lighter note,Daniel just told me he has bought a place in HKG already and the next time we go HKG,we can stay at his place which is at....MID Levels!Woo hoo..can roll down to Soho anytime :P (Too bad this trip we did not have the chance to meet up...)

It was raining when I boarded the flgiht back.The plane was parked at a remote bay and we had to board the bus to ferry us there but there were no shelter and we were caught in the rain while making our way up .....

Back and busy and sick

Hihi..I am back from HKG..landed on Sunday late night around 1145pm and then back to work on Monday and it's my duty week this week :(

Am down with cough,sore throat and blocked nose..had the cough for a week plus already and today I finally went to see the doc...and it's the 1st time in my life that I rejected a MC! Bo pians,duty week this week,sobsss....

Will be posting up the pics from the HKG trip asap...not a lot this time round but I went to the Flower Show at Victoria Park and took some nice pictures there :P

Busy Man!!!

Gosh!! These few days have been so hectic and busy and what nots..:(

Ever since the Career Fair on Thursday,it has been non stop action.

Last Thur-Sun,Career Fair,whole day event for 4 days.Mon-event at Biopolis,which we had to help out though we did nothing much actually and this evening there was a preview...tired..when I go to zzz,my whole body is like aching...time to exercise more!

Kiat is back in SIN yesterday for some work stuff and we are going to HKG on thursday but on different flights...how I wish I can swap with him........and yes,high wide and lwy,it's going to be Mazda 3...

Gotta clear all my stuff tmr before going off but there are loads to settle!!!!!!!
