Final post on the move

Tomorrow we are finally able to go into the new campus although we will only be operational from 3rd Jan 07.

A glimspe of my new work station
So much to do tomorow, unpack, set up computer,go through files due to lost time.....so glad the new campus is going to be operational soon, can't imagine going through the mess, hassle and putting up with irritants that the move has brought.
For now, its goodbye TP,hello TB.

Fay and JY's wedding

Kiat and I, we both attended Fay and JY's wedding last Sunday at Furama Riverfront.
It was a great wedding-simple and heartwarming. Good time for me to catch up with my ex colleagues too, esp Steph! I have not seen here since she went back to Malaysia.
A little bit about this nice couple-I got to know Fay during my ex job, we both joined the company on the same day and were put in training together. From then on, our batch formed a friendship which has lasted till today :) Coming 3 yrs already if I am not wrong. She was the one who introduced me to Kiat :P Her hubby,JY and Kiat were friends during NUS days, they knew each other through RY-RY was Kiat's good friend since JC and he is also JY's good friend in Uni,RY is also the best man at the wedding, hope I am not confusing everyone here, anyway, that's how we got acquainted. Thanks a lot of introducing this great guy to me Fay and JY hehe:)

I thought all along that I will be sitting with my ex colleagues but I was wrong, I was placed with Kiat and their friends from Uni days. I also met Penny and Darryl. Anyway, after the 3rd dish,I swapped tables to be with my friends :p
Ry,me and kiat
Me and Kiat
The yum seng-my fav part of a wedding. Fay's thank you speech was 'so her' .

Opps,Steph is not ready, too bad leelan and cass could not make it.Fr left, daniel, steph, sandy who got married last Sun!,ivy and moi.

Have a great honeymoon in Aus yah..and show us the pics! Can we go your house to see...saw some pictures of your house from Ry's cam and I love the deco!

Corduroy and Finch @ Vivo

Met KR on a last minute arrangment on Friday evening.

We wanted to go for coffee somewhere near my place but we ended up at Vivo in our bid to avoid ERP :P

Kr suggested some cafes located by the 'sea' and we ended up at Corduroy and Finch.

View of the cable cars from our seats
I like the deco of the place-pretty victorian

Our drinks

Sentosa opposite us:

Nice place, I will def be back very soon.
After that, she heard that there is sale at Taka for DBS Black cardholders so we went down to do some Christmas shopping till 10pm and that gal still have not eaten dinner, got shopping no need to eat already she.

More on the move

My office is reduced to just our boxes, waiting for the movers to bring it over to TB. (By now, they have already arrived at TB)

We have a make shift office for the different depts to gather. More like a disaster centre :P

This place is no more also as on Friday, all the stuff have been packed and shifted to TB.
Not sure when we can officially move in, in the meantime, its working from home and shuttling btw TP and HN.

2 weddings in 1 weekend

I attended 2 weddings over the past weekend.
Seems like 9th Dec, Sat was a popular day to get married. Kiat was in hkg to attend Thomas and Pauline's wedding and a couple of my friends also attended their friend's wedding. If I do not have any weddings to attend, I would def go HKG too!

Over at Xm's wedding, there were 4 couples holding their reception on the same level. Wonder if any blur ones went to the wrong ballroom.
Met my JC friends (again); we last met at JY's wedding last month.

That's my JC click minus the bride-Jy,Char,Esther,Me and Zy. (Joey and Gail could not make it)

It has been coming 11 years since we knew each other! I must say all of us have fond memories of our JC days as our class was kinda 'havoc'. It was really fun hanging around together for the 2 years. Even though we do not meet very often now, it is good to know our chemistry have not faded throughout these years. (yes, like how zy still likes to squabble with jy and char whenever you put the 3 of them together)

Me and zy-he flew back from HKG specially to attend Xm's wedding. Touched down on Sat afternoon itself and left this morning. How sweet :) He is indeed a very good friend.

I didn't put any of xm's pic here hehe....
Wishing you and Elson a very blissful marrriage!

10th Dec 06, Sun
Went for Sandy's wedding at the Harbourfront. Met up with Leelan and Ivy. Fay could not make it last min, we shall see Fay on her own wedding this sun then.
I did not really take any pictures yesterday :P Gota see her album for the pictures then.

Wishing you and Anthony lotsa love and happiness!!
2 down, 2 more to go.

10 December 2006

Fri off

I took Friday off :) Always good to have long weekend :)
Met Jinny to go Steph's place for treatment, in preparation for my 4 weddings this month ^__^

I always like how they blow the curls until so nice and bouncy :P I can never achieve that effect at home, sigh.

We met mar for dim sum before heading home for dinner. That gal is in need of a good break and luckily she managed to take fri off too.

Moving office

We are moving office to Tiong Bahru. Quite happy as its so near to my house :)
This means we need to pack pack pack.
Boxes are in, shelves are cleared. Asked my colleague to clear the shelf and she did in 3 secs coz everything just throw away hahaha.

Now you see it, now you don't:

Next week, we will still be at TP but I got to work from home for 2 days :)

Stan Chart Singapore Marathon 2006

Last Sun was the annual Singapore Marathon.
(Procrastinated till today then posted this entry)
Time really passes by so quickly, just last year,Kiat came back to run his 1st full marathon and now its the 2nd year already. As usual, I was the spectator. I can't run for nuts.

The battle gear..
(4D consolation prize that day was 0461 :P)
Kiat woke up at 430am to prepare and meet Ry to go as their starting time was 6am. For me, I was zzzzz till 8plus, then I make my way to ECP to catch them in action.

Cheerleaders at ECP :)

Supporter:
Runners:
Saw Ry first, actually he was the one who called out to me :P

Kiat was about 15mins after ry, he did not see me and ran past me!!!!
After the ECP stop, I took the shuttle bus to go to the Kallang stop but the Stan Chart shuttle bus for the supporters never fails to piss me off, last year screwed up, this year also. Last year, the bus stopped at the Kallang bus stop, this year, it went to stadium walk and I thought it would turn out and stop at the bus stop but it did not stop, it went all the way to the finishing line. Darn.

So I missed the Kallang stop and ended at City Hall.
Runners coming in from the Esplanade, the last stretch!!!
Some uncles; I also saw a Japanesse uncle who was dressed in a yukata and farmer 'triangle' hat. He can really run, saw him non stop running at ECP and here. Did not manage to snap a shot of him. Met my cousin who completed the 10km earlier on.

Finally saw Mr Shao.
The finishing line, yay!!!
Tired man...

Well done guys!!

Ry completed the marathon in 4hr 50mins, Kiat in 5hrs 15mins.

Ok Ok the medal is not mine...I really admire all theses participants for running the full marathon. The pain, cramps, test of endurance and strength. I can't even run for like ermmm ok, better keep it a secret. Give me swimming, cycling or blading and I would gladly do it but running...no thanks. hehe.
More pictures from Marathon photos.com

Well done Kiat and RY!!
This year, Kiat came more prepared -for eg, applying deep heat before and during the run, that really helped!! Last year, no precaution and the cramp was horrible, this year was good, after the run and some rest in the afternoon, he can still make his way to his friend's wedding in the evening :P
